Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 18, 2026 | Last updated: July 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how The AI Pulse LLC (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit tipsforgainingweight.com (the “Site”).
1. Information we collect
Information you provide voluntarily:
- Email address and first name (optional) when you subscribe to our newsletter or download a free resource.
- Quiz and calculator inputs (such as age range, height, weight, and goals) when you use our interactive tools. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not stored by us unless you choose to save or email your results. Quiz responses are associated with your email only if you provide it.
- Contact form submissions (name, email, message).
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, collected only after you accept analytics in our consent banner: pages viewed, approximate location (city level, derived from IP), device and browser type, referral source, time on page, scroll depth, and interactions such as outbound link clicks. Google Analytics 4 is configured with IP anonymization; we do not receive your full IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 6.
We do not collect or store health records. Tool inputs are used only to produce your result.
2. How we use information
- To deliver the newsletter and resources you request
- To operate, analyze, and improve the Site and its content
- To measure which content is useful (analytics)
- To respond to your inquiries
- To comply with legal obligations
Legal bases (GDPR, for EEA/UK visitors): consent (email marketing, non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (site analytics, security), and legal obligation.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Site hosting and security |
| Google (Tag Manager, Analytics 4) | Analytics |
| Kit (ConvertKit) | Email newsletter delivery and list management |
| Affiliate networks and retailers | If you click an affiliate link, the destination site sets its own cookies and receives standard click data. Their privacy policies govern from that point |
[WHEN ADS LAUNCH] When display advertising launches, advertising partners will be listed here, a consent management platform will collect your ad preferences, and residents of applicable states will see a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer, because personalized advertising can qualify as “sharing” under laws like the California Privacy Rights Act.
4. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws, and the EEA/UK under GDPR), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information
- Portability: receive a copy in a usable format
- Opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of personal information [WHEN ADS LAUNCH: use the footer link or the consent manager]
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (for email, every message includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately)
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any right, email info@tipsforgainingweight.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We will verify your request and respond within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days where the law allows; we will tell you if that happens). If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to appeals as applicable law requires. EEA/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.
California residents
This policy is written to comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), which applies to any site collecting personal information from California residents: it is posted conspicuously (linked in every page footer), lists the categories of information collected and the third parties involved, carries its effective date, describes how changes are announced, and explains how we respond to opt-out preference signals (Section 11). Under California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section 1798.83), you may ask whether we disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes; we do not. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) applies to businesses meeting certain revenue or data-volume thresholds that we do not currently meet; we nonetheless extend the rights listed above to all visitors, including California residents, as a matter of policy.
5. Email marketing
We send email only to people who signed up. Every email includes a working unsubscribe link, honored immediately, and our physical mailing address, as required by CAN-SPAM: The AI Pulse LLC, 1505 Surrey Ct, Oceanside, CA 92057. We never sell or rent the email list.
6. Cookies
Cookies we currently use:
- Essential: none beyond basic hosting/security cookies set by Cloudflare.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 cookies (site usage measurement). These load only after you accept them through our consent banner; declining, ignoring the banner, or sending a Global Privacy Control signal means no analytics run at all. You can also block cookies in your browser or use Google’s opt-out tool (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
- Affiliate: clicking an affiliate link may set a cookie on the retailer’s domain so the retailer can attribute the purchase. These are set by the destination site, not by us.
[WHEN ADS LAUNCH] Advertising cookies will be added and disclosed here, controlled through the consent management platform.
Non-essential cookies load only after affirmative consent for all visitors, not just where the law requires it. No analytics or tracking scripts run before you make a choice.
7. Children’s privacy (COPPA)
This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our email signup, quiz, and contact forms are for users 13 and older; content about teen weight gain is written for parents and guardians. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact info@tipsforgainingweight.com and we will delete it promptly.
8. Data retention
Email subscriber data is kept while you remain subscribed and deleted within 90 days of unsubscribing (except suppression records needed to honor your opt-out). Analytics data retention is set to 14 months in Google Analytics. Contact form messages are kept up to 24 months.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including TLS encryption in transit and access controls on all accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the US, your information is processed in the US. For EEA/UK visitors, transfers rely on our providers’ compliance frameworks and standard contractual clauses.
11. Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals
We honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control for all visitors: a GPC signal is treated the same as declining our consent banner, and no analytics load. [WHEN ADS LAUNCH: the CMP processes GPC signals automatically.]
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will post the new effective date at the top. Material changes to how we handle already-collected data will be notified by email to subscribers or by prominent site notice. This policy is reviewed at least annually.
